At Baba School of Music, we have been teaching Indian Classical Music in the heart of Varanasi since 1995. Over these years, we have trained students in Tabla, Sitar, Harmonium, Sarangi, and Vocal music, guiding them from their very first note to advanced mastery. Our aim has always been simple — to help people across India and around the world discover Indian classical music and learn to play it, whether they prefer online classes from the comfort of their home or offline, in-person training right here in Varanasi. We believe that music is not just a form of entertainment, but a prayer and a medicine for the mind and body, capable of healing far beyond what words can express.
You don’t need to be a maestro to benefit from this. Even a complete beginner can start learning Tabla, Sitar, or Harmonium and find real joy and relaxation with just 20 minutes of practice a day. Music, at its core, is meant to be lived and felt — not just performed.
Over the decades, we have seen countless lives unfold and transform through the sacred sounds of Indian classical music. The music room is beautiful with many instruments and an excellent bluetooth sound system for teaching examples of musical styles and providing supporting drone tracks.
